Since 1999, Richard has been a cornerstone of Jonathan & Associates, ascending to President in 2020. With over 25 years of experience, he provides small business owners and individuals with the clarity needed to resolve complex accounting and tax challenges. 
A committed partner to his clients, Richard specializes in strategic planning and the intricacies of Estate Tax Returns. He offers expert guidance ranging from complex income tax filings to long-term financial roadmaps. A graduate of La Sierra University (BS, Accounting/Finance), Richard continues to lead the firm with the integrity that has defined its legacy for more than two decades.

Bryan 

Staff Accountant

Richard Karp, CPABryan joined our firm in 2021 as a Staff Accountant, bringing nearly a decade of experience to our tax department. Since 2017, he has specialized in tax preparation, delivering precise and reliable financial support to our clients. A 2018 graduate of California State University, San Bernardino, Bryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Accounting and Finance.

Alexis is a Senior Staff Accountant who joined the firm in 2025, specializing in the preparation of personal income tax returns. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach (2019) and is actively pursuing CPA licensure. Known for his commitment to professional excellence, Alexis leverages sharp analytical skills and meticulous detail to provide clients with superior financial clarity.

Lisa combines big-firm experience with a personal touch. A Coachella Valley native, she graduated top of her class from UC Santa Barbara before launching her accounting career with KPMG in Orange County. Her experience spans comprehensive audit and tax services for a wide range of clients—from private corporations to public companies.
